# 1kx protocol testnet.

hello guys. Today, i would like to walk us through the

**1KXPROTOCOL** testnet which is being deployed on the zksync chain. here goes the steps to use the DEX. FIRST, what is the purpose of the **1KXPROTOCOL** ,the purpose of the protocol goes thus; It is a permissionless exchange & money market protocol which comprises of spot trading, borrowing, lending, earning and swapping. This **dex** is deployed on the zksync chain. I would post the walkthrough for the testnet now.

1.  go to [https://beta.1kx.exchange/pools](https://beta.1kx.exchange/pools)
    
2.  connect your wallet to the **dex** and the network must be on the **zksync testnet**. as you have it, my wallet is connected to the dex and its on the zksync network

3\. **request for testtokens**

and make sure you refresh the page before proceeding to the next step. 4. we are going to be providing liquidity to pools.

*   go to pools, create new pool
    
*   then select assets and use the add liquidity button.
    
*   you would get a notification like this after adding liquidity.

5\. we would be borrowing.

*   click on borrow on any pool
    
*   select the asset you wanna use for collateral
    
*   select the asset you would like to borrow
    
*   then use the borrow button

1.  we would go to the trade section
    

*   we would select the asset we wanna swap from
    
*   we would select the asset we wanna swap to
    
*   we then click on the swap button and confirm transaction on metamask.

then lastly, tell a friend to tell a friend about @1kxprotocol

*   use 1kxprotocol regularly
