I look up and a year has just gone by. I am in the same place, same issues, same fears. I am stuck!

I realize the need to get out of my current situation, but I feel held back by an even stronger desire to do nothing to change my condition.

**To do today:**

1.     **Are my expectations of myself too high?** Reexamine your expectations of yourself. You can’t do everything perfectly. It is normal to feel disappointed in yourself if you don’t live up to your expectations. Could you be comparing yourself to others and having expectations so lofty that you think you’re not enough?

People have an innate drive to evaluate themselves, often in comparison to others. We compare ourselves with those who are doing better often when we want to do better, and we also compare with those doing worse when we want to feel better about ourselves. How does this influence your self belief, confidence, motivation, and attitude? 

Watch out for negative feelings that might emerge as a result of this process.

2.     **What are my goals?** Living without a purpose is one of the quickest ways to find yourself in a rut. You can’t do anything if you have no sense of direction. Since you are stuck in a hole, the only path to go is up.

How do you do this?

Write down 1 thing you can improve today.

Set a time to do it same time everyday this week.

At the end of the week, reflect on the following

o    _Is this working?_

_o   What are you struggling with to get this done?_

_o   What are you loving about it?_

_o    Who are you becoming when you do the thing?_
