# Many days in the Junction

This morning blogTO did a post on [how to spend a day in the Junction](https://www.blogto.com/city/2018/05/the-junction-restaurants-shops-toronto/) neighborhood of Toronto.

I love the Junction. I’m planning to move to the Junction. And we have a development project in the area called Junction House. So know that I am entirely biased when I talk about this neighborhood. 

A couple of my favorite places from blogTO’s list include [Mjolk](https://www.mjolk.ca/) (Scandinavian interior design), [Gerhard Supply](http://www.gerhardsupply.com/) (menswear), [Playa Cabana Cantina](http://playacabana.ca/cantina/) (tacos and tequila), and [Indie Alehouse](https://www.indiealehouse.com/) (brewpub). 

One spot that wasn’t on the list is the Italian restaurant, [Nodo](http://nodorestaurant.ca/junction/). Big fan of this place. Great pastas. Great negronorum. Yes, the plural of [negroni](http://brandondonnelly.com/post/173532429958/first-day-of-summer) is allegedly [negronorum](https://medium.com/@tomstuart/the-plural-of-negroni-3ee1f1e4a16b).

One of the big game changers for the Junction – besides [the reintroduction of alcohol](https://www.blogto.com/eat_drink/2012/02/a_brief_history_of_booze_in_the_junction/) in 1997 – is the [Union Pearson Express](https://www.upexpress.com/) train.

Many people only think of it as civilized airport travel. But it also provides an incredible inner city service. It shows you the potential of [Regional Express Rail](http://www.metrolinx.com/en/regionalplanning/rer/rer_work.aspx) in this region. We need more of this.
