Named after our first post on Medium, If You Gno, You Know, the Meetup was organized to introduce Gnoland to local Cosmos developers, validators, and supporters. The Meetup was divided into 3 different sessions with an afterparty. In this blog post, we’ll recap some highlights from the Meetup for everyone who missed the event. Session #1: What is Gnoland? During the first session, Dongwon (our CEO) gave a high level overview of Gnoland, reviewed the development status of Gno, and shared details of the $GNOT Airdrop. Takeaways Jae Kwon is developing a new smart contract platform called Gnoland. Gnoland is a robust, IBC-compatible Layer 1 Blockchain powered by Tendermint Core. Gnoland offers built-in concurrency and simplicity by enabling smart contracts to be programmed in Go. 67% of $GNOTs will be airdropped to eligible $ATOM holders. Snapshot of $ATOM holdings will take place on May 21, 2022, 00:00:00 (KST). Key Pages Session #2: Gnoland and Gnolang During the second session, Jack (our Senior Dev) gave a speech that featured a breakdown of Gnoland and Gnolang from a developer’s perspective. Jack also demonstrated an interaction with the Gnoland Blockchain by running a set of smart contracts on the Testnet to create a post on the Boards. Takeaways Gnoland leverages Tendermint for Consensus and Networking, and Gno for Application. Jae aims to provide an efficient framework for dapp developers. Smart contracts are called “Realms”, and modules are called “Packages” in Gno. Gno inherits Go’s effective module system. Key Pages Session #3: Our Contributions During the final sesion, Kyungsu (our CPO) talked about our contributions to Gno and announced the upcoming suite of products that we’re building on Gnoland: Adena Wallet, Terabyte Validator, and Gnoswap. Takeaways Onbloc is contributing to Gnoland through development, resource curation, and community building. Onbloc will launch 3 core suite of products to fuel the Gnoland Ecosystem. Adena Wallet: A user-friendly, non-custodial Web3 Wallet for Gnoland. Terabyte Validator: A Validator Node dedicated to the Gnoland Blockchain. Gnoswap: An AMM DEX built to provide deep liquidity to Gnoland-native assets. Key Pages Gallery Here are some pictures from the Meetup!
