Tony Hsieh, one of the most successful innovators and entrepreneurs of our generation used ‘collision hours’ as a [metric to determine the health of an innovative space](https://bradford.impacthub.net/collisions-co-learning-connectedness-remembering-tony-hsieh/).

A collision in this context can be defined as a random serendipitous encounter, where people could run into each other, share ideas and meaningfully connect.

In essence, this enables a high volume of alpha thought experiments form a diverse set of perspectives to take place organically. When these thought experiments are done in the context of trust and aligned vision, aligned action is the next most probable outcome.

DAOs have an incredible opportunity to design these collisions into the fabric of their culture. From the onboarding experience, to contribution strategy and new project development.

The more collisions we can cultivate in a context of trust and aligned vision the more chance we have of accomplishing why the DAO was created in the first place.
