# Osmosis (Osmo)

Created using the Cosmos SDK for developers of their own AMMs: it helps to design, build, create and deploy them.

Basically, Osmosis is a kind of sandbox for developing AMMs using different modules and liquidity pools. Osmo is a management token and is used to distribute rewards for mining liquidity.

The founders of the project are Sonny Aggarwal, Josh Lee and Dev Ojha, but Osmosis itself is managed in a decentralized way and all transactions are done through the community of token holders.
