# Improving the ReFi Impact Dashboard

When we launched the early beta of our ReFi Impact Dashboard in October 2024, we had three goals: 1) Identify and track key metrics for the ReFi space 2) Use the data to support our State of ReFi 2025 report 3) Socialize the concept and get feedback Ten months later, we feel pretty good about our progress towards those goals. So much so that, after getting some grant funding in the GG23 dApps & Apps round, we decided to push ahead with the next version. Based on feedback, there are few features we know we need to have: 1) Weekly and monthly change indicators 2) Drill down by project and category 3) A single high-level metric indicating the total funding flows facilitated by ReFi projects 4) Chain ecosystem breakdown Ultimately, we want to work towards what DeFiLlama is building: a comprehensive and interactive dataset for ReFi. Challenges remain, of course. The off-chain nature of impact data makes it harder for projects to track, let alone report via API. On-chain data is easy to track, but not if projects aren't making their smart contract addresses publicly available. In terms of timeline, we hope to get the first version of the next iteration up in the next month or so.
