As AI continues to reshape our work, I've found an app I now use daily. It's a game-changer for productivity: MacWhisper. Key benefits I've experienced: Powerful dictation capabilities Efficient transcription using local models that are multi-lingual Global transcription for anywhere on your machine. Transcribe YouTube videos by simply entering the URL. What sets it apart? It's simple to use and runs the models locally - no cloud required. With that said, you can use one of your API keys from OpenAI and/or Anthropic. You can dictate a brainstorm, and it will organize and clean it up for you in-app. I was a DragonDictate customer years ago, and there's no comparison.
