# Between Words

> Carolyn Khor is a freelance journalist and a part-time lecturer based in Malaysia. Her interests include human rights, democracy and governance, gender equality, environmental issues, and the arts. Her writing explores leadership, ethics, and power in Southeast Asia. She previously served as a ministerial press secretary and a UN Volunteer.
