# Exploring Mirror.xyz for Blogging Guide

So, What is Mirror?
-------------------

[Mirror.xyz](https://bloggingguide.com/guides/mirror/) is a unique publishing tool for writers, which leverages cryptocurrency and blockchain technologies. The platform was created by Denis Nazarov and launched in 2020. It is described as a first of its kind, decentralized writing platform developed to help creators connect with their target audiences in a more direct and innovative way.

I’m excited to be writing this post on Mirror! Up until recently, Mirror was only accessible to a small group of users:

> For the past few months, people were required to earn and burn a $WRITE token to get full access to Mirror’s web3 creative suite.
