Do Kwon, co-founder of Terraform Labs, the company that developed the Terra blockchain, is suing the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), according to a filing. According to the filing, Do Kwon received a subpoena from the SEC at Messari's Mainnet conference last month in a matter that dates back as far as May 2021, when the SEC's enforcement division sent Do Kwon an email disputing Terra's Mirror Protocol, a synthetic asset protocol, a decentralised financial platform that could track the stock prices of US companies through synthetic stocks. Do Kwon had previously claimed during Messari Mainnet that he had not received a subpoena from the SEC.
