**Weekly Highlights**
---------------------

1. Significant enhancements were made to the key-sharing mechanism of TEE Workers this week. This update utilizes blockchain distribution to share keys among TEE Workers, strengthening CESS’s control and awareness of TEE Workers while alleviating networking burdens associated with the libp2p mechanism.

2. The file upload mechanism underwent an upgrade, enabling storage nodes to report to the [CESS](https://www.cess.cloud/) blockchain post-service file tag calculations. This refinement ensures more accurate status assessments by CESS Node, preventing disruptions due to incomplete tag calculations.

3. DeOSS go-sdk and js-sdk received updates, addressing known issues, adapting to the latest file processes, and optimizing interface documentation and error handling for an improved developer experience.

4. Announced the winners of the Web3 Hack X hackathon.

5. [CESS](https://www.cess.cloud/) Co-founder & COO, Jessie, actively engaged in two enlightening Twitter Spaces events focused on DePIN during HTX Live during the HTX Live broadcast.

**Project Development Details**
-------------------------------

The [CESS](https://www.cess.cloud/) testnet has been updated to [v0.7.5](https://github.com/CESSProject/cess/releases/tag/v0.7.5) and consists of consensus nodes and storage nodes. **Consensus nodes** maintain the world state of the [CESS](https://www.cess.cloud/) network (by CESS Node)and serve as the “data authentication station” (by TEE Worker). **Storage nodes** provide verifiable storage space and serve as the “data storage pool” in the CESS network.

**1\. Consensus Miner \[**[**v0.7.5**](https://github.com/CESSProject/cess/releases/tag/v0.7.5)**\]**

* Updated the nodeadm program to support one-click configuration of TEE Worker domains.

* Refined TEE Worker registration rules based on the presence of a bound stash account.

* Enhanced the TEE Worker’s key-sharing mechanism, utilizing blockchain for key distribution.

* Resolved compatibility issues between the Kaleido program’s subxt module and the latest CESS Node version.

* Fixed issues causing some CESS Nodes to be unable to confirm blocks, resulting in create block production on the testnet.

**2\. Storage Miner \[**[**v0.7.6**](https://github.com/CESSProject/cess-bucket/releases/tag/v0.7.6)**\]**

* Removed the ShareSwap mechanism during storage node file recovery to reduce the number of connections between nodes.

* Improved storage node staking functionality, allowing separation of staking and working accounts.

* Upgraded the file upload mechanism, introducing reporting after active file tag calculations are completed.

* Enhanced storage node configuration, enabling users to set preferred TEE Worker connections.

* Optimized storage node service file tag calculation, reducing chain queries and introducing a mechanism for repairing damaged files.

[_CESS_](https://www.cess.cloud/) _is a blockchain powered decentralized storage and content delivery network (CDN) infrastructure for Web3. By utilizing a decentralized physical infrastructure network (DePIN) model, CESS drives mass deployment of network nodes globally through incentives. The first of its kind, decentralized object storage services (DeOSS) by_ [_CESS_](https://www.cess.cloud/) _has significantly contributed to the gradual enrichment and flourishing of the product ecosystem within the_ [_CESS_](https://www.cess.cloud/) _network, online file sharing tool (DeShare), and public chain snapshot storage services have been incubated. The developments for this week are as follows:_

**Decentralized Object Storage Service (**[**DeOSS**](https://github.com/CESSProject/DeOSS/releases/tag/v0.3.2)**)**

* Improved the DeOSS file upload process, allowing DeOSS to track tag calculations for each file fragment.

* Updated the go-sdk, enhancing support for DeOSS functionality and refining interface documentation.

* Upgraded the js-sdk, fixing initialization issues, and adapting to the latest file upload and download features.

**A URL generator tool for file storing and sharing (**[**DeShare**](https://github.com/CESSProject/DeOSS/releases/tag/v0.3.2)**)**

* Upgraded DeShare to support user file uploads of up to 500M.

**Overview:**
-------------

17 days after the [v0.7.5](https://github.com/CESSProject/cess/releases/tag/v0.7.5) testnet was launched. More details on [blockchain explorer](https://substats.cess.cloud/). If you encounter any issues building a node, please seek assistance on [CESS Discord](https://discord.com/invite/UDZaBaDhcv).

*   **8** consensus nodes

*   **876** storage nodes

* **881.28 TiB** effective storage space

* **3.81 PiB** total storage space

**Event:**

The miner reward event for the [CESS](https://cess.cloud/) testnet continued as storage and consensus miners can earn points by participating. Points can be exchanged for [CESS](https://cess.cloud/) tokens when the mainnet launches.

**Community Activities**
------------------------

* The Web3 Hack X hackathon has officially concluded! [CESS](https://cess.cloud/) is delighted to announce the winners, showcasing the incredible achievements of developers and builders. Throughout the event, we provided bounties, technical support, and the opportunity to collaborate with developers worldwide, turning innovative ideas into reality.
