# Weekly Report | Oct 16th — 22nd, 2023 By [CESS_Network](https://paragraph.com/@cess-network) · 2023-10-25 --- **Weekly Highlights** ===================== * **Enhanced the stability of consensus nodes** by resolving idle space authentication, file reading permission errors, and space capacity miscalculation issues. * Improved storage nodes’ ability to parse specific block events, enhancing transaction event monitoring for file uploads. * **Resolved storage node issues** during idle space authentication, including accumulator verification errors and post-upgrade status synchronization inconsistencies. * The final of “**CESS Cup**” has concluded. * CESS sponsors **Web3HackX** during Hong Kong’s Web3 Month. **Project Development Details** =============================== _Current testnet:_ [_V0.7.3_](https://github.com/CESSProject/cess/releases/tag/v0.7.3) _consists of consensus and storage nodes._ **_​​Consensus nodes_** _maintain the world state of the_ [_CESS_](http://www.cess.cloud/) _network (by CESS Node)and serve as the “data authentication station” (by TEE Worker)._ **_Storage nodes_** _provide verifiable storage space and serve as the “data storage pool” in the CESS network._ **Consensus Miner \[**[**v0.7.3**](https://github.com/CESSProject/cess/releases/tag/v0.7.3)**\]** ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- * Resolved issues related to idle space authentication caused by excessive memory usage in TEE Worker. * Fixed compilation failures in the on-chain data structures recorded by TEE Worker due to framework upgrades. * Addressed permission errors when reading files in TEE Worker. * Corrected the calculation of space capacity parameters when CESS Node triggers random challenges. * Optimized the strategy for selecting storage nodes during random challenges, excluding nodes with zero storage power from being challenged. **Storage Miner \[**[**v0.7.1**](https://github.com/CESSProject/cess-bucket/releases/tag/v0.7.1)**\]** ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ * Addressed accumulator verification errors during idle space authentication in storage nodes. * Fixed issues with storage nodes being unable to properly parse the response data from the chain. * Added the capability to parse file storage completion events and order declaration events in specific blocks. * Resolved problems with idle space authentication failures resulting from inconsistencies in state synchronization after an upgrade to the authentication process. _The mission of_ [_CESS_](https://www.cess.cloud/) _is to provide Web3 with practical storage services. Users can experience these functions._ **Decentralized Object Storage Service (DeOSS)** ------------------------------------------------ * Tested the user data encryption and decryption feature in the rust-sdk and resolved the issue of decryption failures. * Addressed problems with DeOSS storage service startup failures. **Testnet** =========== **Overview:** ------------- * **8 consensus** nodes and **1209 storage** nodes registered with almost **1.35 PiB effective storage space** and **4.0 PiB total storage space** within 50 days after the [v0.7.3](https://github.com/CESSProject/cess/releases/tag/v0.7.3) testnet was launched.
