Hello, all Bob (Tigerbob) hunters. Today we are going to do a roaring summary of the upcoming Tigerbob NFT (Minting on the 28th of May).IntroductionTigerbob is a 1000-piece NFT project from PROOF artist Gossamer Rozen.Here is what the mint of the Tigerbob NFTs get you (roadmap items):→ Fashion and merchandise→ Comics→ Metaverse and gaming compatibility→ Fine Art → Rumored to be a full-body Tigerbob down the line ;)A Wild Tigerbob (By: Gossamer Rozen)Tigerbob aims to be a pixel art PFP-type project.Tigerbob is taking an interesting route by making the rest of the NFT (the body) available post-mint (Roadmap item)My thoughts are that it will be an interesting project as the artist is a PROOF artist, along with this the art is unique and the small collection size will make a very tight-knit community.Traction / ArtAs Grossamers background shows, they have a lot of art experience in fact “Gossamer has been creating work professionally since 2008.“.The TIigerbob Twitter also has ~150k followers.Just from this traction so far I’m getting a vibe that these may play out as the previous PROOF grails and other small supply PFP projects.A sample of Art from the Tigerbob website.TeamTigerbob is founded by Gossamer Elysian Farris, Richard Powazynski, Matthew Wall, and Justin GoldbergFor their NFT drop, the art will be done by Gossamer Elysian Farris who, as previously mentioned, is a PROOF artist and has been an artist since 2008.By my analysis, this team is more than capable to lead Tigerbob to be a successful PFP project.Future LandscapeAfter Tigerbob mints out the team plans to allocate a % of funds to the project, the team, and 10% will go to charity. More info on this is below! On top of this, they will also start enacting their roadmap.Use of fundsTigerbob plans to mint 1000k NFTs at a price of .25e each netting the team 250e ($712637 USD) roughly. Team members also will receive 1 free tigerbob mint and will be allow-listed for 2 additional tigerbob. Lastly, the proceeds from the mint will be split across the team + the charity, more info on that here.After the mint, it is safe to assume the Tigerbob team will then use the funds to further enact their prior stated roadmap.CriticismIn closing, I like the Tigerbob art, the artist, and the 10% charity donation. I am however skeptical about the mint profit break down → 50% of the mint proceeds go to the Artist and 12.5% of the 50% go to further developing the project or roughly 15.5e or less. Info here.While this is approximately $42k USD it does not leave the project with much capital to use to fund further endeavors. However, 5% of secondary royalties will go to the artist which could be assumed to also be going towards the project as well. Info here.Lastly, those who mint DO NOT get full rights to the art.
