Not the fruit, but the chemical makeup: electric, acidic, and burning. Subject 69 tore at the sterile white bandages wrapped tightly around his head, but his fingers slipped against his own skin. The flesh had turned a violent, raw pink, softening like wax under a heat lamp. He tried to speak, to beg the doctors to stop the centrifuge, but the only thing that emerged was a visceral, gurgling roar. The cosmic radiation hadn't just mutated his cells, it was liquefying his reality. His jaw unhinged, stretching impossibly wide. From the depths of his throat, a torrent of neon green sludge erupted the physical manifestation of his dissolving psyche. It splashed against his teeth, which had turned the color of oxidized copper, and dripped heavily down his chin, defying gravity as it floated outward into the void. Around him, the stars were no longer distant suns. They had transformed into spheres of bubblegum pink and toxic green orbiting his head in a mocking, candy-colored constellation. He realized too late that he wasn't looking at the universe anymore. He was becoming it, exploding outward in a gruesome, colorful supernova of biological sludge. He screamed and melted away into the galaxy. ## Publication Information - [Fungi Info with Chubz](https://paragraph.com/@chubz.base.eth/): Publication homepage - [All Posts](https://paragraph.com/@chubz.base.eth/): More posts from this publication - [RSS Feed](https://api.paragraph.com/blogs/rss/@chubz.base.eth): Subscribe to updates
