They are medium-sized [deciduous](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deciduous) trees and can reach about 20 m (66 ft) tall, trunks up to 80 cm (31 in) in diameter. The bark is smooth and yellow-bronze,[\[26\]](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yellow#cite_note-26) and the wood is extensively used for flooring, cabinetry, and toothpicks.
