NFTs, short for Non-Fungible Tokens, are unique digital assets that use blockchain technology to represent ownership and authenticity of a specific item or piece of content. Unlike cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin or Ethereum, which are interchangeable with one another, NFTs are indivisible and cannot be exchanged on a one-to-one basis. Each NFT contains metadata that provides information about the asset it represents, including its provenance, ownership history, and other relevant details.
