Clouds are accumulations of water vapor in the atmosphere that can be seen with the naked eye. They are formed due to condensation of water vapor on the smallest particles of dust, salts and other substances in the atmosphere. Clouds can have various shapes and sizes, from small cumulus clouds to huge thunderclouds. They can also be of different colors, from white to gray and black, depending on the thickness and height of the clouds. Clouds play an important role in climate, protecting the Earth from solar radiation and helping to keep the planet's surface warm. They are also a source of precipitation, such as rain, snow and hail.
