The U.S. District Attorney for the Southern District of New York, which is investigating SBF, is also investigating criminal charges against SBF's parents. It is reported that prosecutors are focusing on investigating whether SBF's parents participated in FTX's misappropriation of client funds.
It was previously reported that SBF's parents will not be teaching at Stanford starting in 2023. The current CEO of FTX, John Ray, also stated in the House hearing that he is currently investigating the role of SBF's parents in FTX, and his parents have received payments.
