# Moxie > Creators economy in Farcaster. More info **Published by:** [Coinexplorer](https://paragraph.com/@coinexplorer/) **Published on:** 2024-07-30 **URL:** https://paragraph.com/@coinexplorer/moxie-details ## Content The Moxie project by the Airstack team started yesterday, so it’s a good time to write a detailed post about it. I don’t expect a life-changing experience, but considering the technical level of their previous projects, it promises to be interesting. Quick Overview Moxie allows you to earn rewards for your activity. It is integrated directly into Farcaster, allowing users to automatically earn points for quality posts. The more engagement your post gets, the more you earn. You can also increase your earnings by buying others' tokens and getting a share of their profits. Now, let’s dive into the details. Key Mechanics Airdrop 1. Airdrop for Farcaster Participants: 5% of the total $MOXIE tokens will be distributed among 53,206 Farcaster participants with a linear vesting over 180 days – equal unlock daily. The received tokens can either be withdrawn to a wallet or used to purchase fan tokens of Farcaster content creators and channels. All $MOXIE tokens creators generate will be shared with their fans. 2. Airdrop for Builders and Influencers: Another 5% of the tokens will be distributed among 1,239 Farcaster developers under the same conditions. Builders and influencers received a significantly larger drop, about 80-200 times more, depending on their "prominence." Fan Token Mechanics 1. Buying Fan Tokens: Users can purchase fan tokens of influencers with $MOXIE, either by using locked tokens (reducing their locked amount) or by buying $MOXIE tokens from the market (with their own money). 2. Participating in Auctions: Each fan token is acquired through an auction (standard procedure here). You can buy more than one fan token from a single influencer. Pay attention to the "clearing price" – the minimum price at which the auction will end. Your bid must be higher than this value at the end of the auction. 3. Why Are Fan Tokens Useful?: Holders of fan tokens receive a share of the content creator's earnings proportional to the number of fan tokens they hold. The more active the influencer, the more tokens you can earn from them. When placing bids, you can see how many tokens the influencer has earned previously and base your decisions on this information. This allows for passive income from platform activity. 4. Strategy and Planning: - New channels and influencers for token bidding regularly appear. It’s crucial to allocate your budget wisely and bid on those who generate the highest returns. - There is a limited number of ongoing auctions, so you can’t just buy any influencer's tokens at any time. New auctions are gradually added. - Each auction lasts about 3 days, so there is time to participate. Most of the activity will likely happen closer to the auction's end. - If you run out of tokens, you’ll need to buy more to continue participating. 5. Statistics and Analysis: In less than a day, there were 1,157 bids on 26.443M Moxie. This shows decent engagement. Let’s see how it continues. Post Reward Distribution - 50% – to the post creator - 20% – to fan token holders of the channel where the post is published - 20% – to fan token holders of the influencer - 10% – to holders of the "Farcaster network" token (a general token) Team The Moxie project team consists of over 20 people, including key members of Airstack. Airstack is a well-established platform that helps build frameworks for Farcaster. Why Is This Interesting? Moxie allows for the monetization of activity within Farcaster itself, supporting favorite channels and receiving rewards. Unlike many other projects, all interactions happen directly within Farcaster. Influencers and users don’t need to leave the platform to participate – they can continue their regular activity and earn (almost) passive income. Ultimately, the future of the project depends heavily on the team’s actions, but we can hope that such a competent team knows what it’s doing. My Drop and Project Plans My account was eligible as a builder account. The difference in the drop is radical: on a regular account, the average claim today is about $0.20, while on the builder account, I claimed about $17.50 (some got even more). This is the unlock for one day. If the Moxie token price stayed at the current level, it would result in $36 for a regular account and $3,150 for a builder account over six months (or even more for some creators). My plan is: I will spend most of the tokens on buying creators' tokens, and I will claim the rest daily – it will be like a salary. In my case, buying from the market is not necessary – I already have plenty of tokens. But I might still buy more, depending on the rewards for holding fan tokens. If your drop is small, consider buying from the market, but it's better to wait a bit to see how the token price behaves and what the team does. How to Start? To join the project, you needed to mint a Pass about a month ago. I'm not sure if you can still do this, but I’ve included the link below, just in case. Next, you can check how many tokens you’re entitled to. If it's not enough, you can buy more from the market.
