Simon spitting fire

[@Skillevel7](https://twitter.com/skilllevel7), the CEO of [Mighty Bear Games](https://twitter.com/mightybeargames) and the pioneer behind [Might Action Heroes](https://twitter.com/PlayMightyHero), took to X to voice his thoughts and give average gamers a peek behind the video game studio curtain. While his thoughts are lengthy, they come from someone with a serious history within the game’s industry. Simon voices poignant and wise points of view and tries to get readers to understand the inherent difficulty of making video games. He finishes by saying blockchain technology has a chance to benefit and help evolve the stagnant and at times broken industry, and that’s why he’s excited and not leaving the space. His thread sparked many conversations on X; you can read the [full version here](https://twitter.com/skilllevel7/status/1716167576710201534).

The second [Dojo](https://twitter.com/dojostarknet) Game Jam is going strong with 14 impressive entries. While some games may be more sustainable than others, the true purpose of this event is to encourage builders to experiment with novel technology and create clever ways to push ideas forward. And that’s exactly what the entries for this Game Jam have done; everything from Emoji Wars to a Starkland universe are featured so far, and each has their own unique way of utilizing Dojo’s impressive suite of tools. What's sci-fi without aliens?

[Rock Paper Shotgun](https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/) became relevant again with a recent interview. Earlier this year, CCP Games, the studio behind [EVE Online](https://www.eveonline.com/), expressed interest in blockchain technology as a logical evolution of the games industry and something they were very keen to develop on. In an interview with CCP Games’ CEO, Rock Paper Shotgun was subjected to the bluntest take on blockchain tech ever. Hilmar Pétursson, CCP Games’ CEO, talked about the proclivity of humans to abuse just about any technology they get their hands on. He isn’t worried about scams with NFTs or any shady business about blockchain tech and tokens. He sees it as nothing short of revolutionary.

“It became obvious we should go figure this out,” says Hilmar about blockchain tech. And that’s why they began developing their next game, Project Awakening. A fully blockchain game, Project Awakening is CCP Games’ way of fulfilling their “need to leave behind a footprint.”
