NIM Short

**NIM Short**

NIM is putting our money where our mouth is and providing a demo of how UGC should function by adding licensed music **BEFORE** uploading.

**The NIM Short app is in public beta\*, and we are still tweaking the technology — It can be updated without warning.**

**To install on mobile:** Google Play or Apple Store and search for **NIM Short**

It is no secret that short form and UGC content are having their moment in the sun. The kids now say “TikTok It” instead of “Google It” whenever they need information. Why do the video creators get paid first, but the music creators are last in line?

Whether it is official or unofficial branded UGC content, the challenge remains…how do we ensure the music used in video content is rewarded accurately and fairly…before the content goes live.

We’ve been thinking a lot about this….and believe that the only way to ensure the music creator always comes first is ONLY offering licensed music ready to attach to a video \*\*BEFORE \*\*it is uploaded to the Digital Service Provider (DSP).

How?
----

Well, either with a prepaid account,e.g., new partners who don’t already have existing accounts/agreements with the Copyright Holders (aka White Label partners to NIM)

OR, for partners with established and trusted accounts/agreements (major DSPs like TikTok, Facebook Reels, YouTube Shorts, et al.) with Copyright Holders (aka White Label partners to NIM). However, they will still have to clear each license when the track is used (These can be invoiced at the end of each month, etc.)

Either way, there is a solution in the NIM Short apps where our potential partners can develop and use this technology and solution.

You can contact us via the [NIM Short website **if you’d like to know more.**](https://nimshort.com/)

**\*** Launching in public beta means that the apps and site may be ready for use, but it’s not quite perfect yet-it’s a signal to users that the site is still testing.
