You know what I hate on [LinkedIn](https://www.linkedin.com/in/gabe-perez-8723aa43/)?

The Lists.

• "17 Brutal Truths Every Leader Must Know"
• "8 Ways to Supercharge Your ROI Before Breakfast"
• "4 Things You Can Do Right Now to Make Yourself More Interesting (Hint: Post More Lists)"

#1 is always: Make vapid lists.

Most of these lists look like they were generated by AI. And look, I’m all for using AI. But seriously—if you're going to make a list, at least make up your own. Or better yet: don’t make a list at all.

Most of the time, the posters are “career strategists” or “thought leadership consultants” or whatever the 2025 version of an infomercial guru is.

When I was a kid, these people were on TV at 3AM, selling audio tapes, a VHS bundle, and a three-ring binder guaranteed to unlock your limitless potential™.

Different platform, same hustle.

Okay, okay, you caught me. Lists are effective.
They’re snackable.
They hit the Lowest Common Denominator (LCD) sweet spot.
They get likes.
So fine.
I’ll play the game.
Here’s my list:

The One Thing You Can Do to Be Less Annoying and a Better Person:
→ Be more human.

I’ll just be over here waiting for my million likes.
(Or, you know, quietly judging the next list I scroll past.)
