The Founders of CraterDAO are known as simp1ejackk (must use the number one as the “L” and two “K’s” in their name), MewToo (sometimes stylized as “Mew700” or referenced as “sneakMewToo”), and Pentaghast666. He was part of the original founding duo for CraterDAO after having watched his net worth melt away at the hands of the Celsius Network implosion. Following this life-altering event, he fought tooth and nail to try rebuilding the financial stores that had been lost. However, in a case of blockbuster/big-budget-movie-level bad luck, the place in which he had been temporarily storing his coffers just so happened to be the infamous FTX exchange. This caused a repeat of the nightmare he had desperately been trying to recover from. This was his rock-bottom and like commonly happens, it also ended up becoming the catalyst for starting the altruistic project that is CraterDAO.simp1ejackk (SJ) was quickly made aware that he was not the only person who was experiencing heavy losses, ultimately meeting MewToo through relevant conversations of the time. The two victims of other peoples’ arrogance and greed formed a fast relationship through frequent their counsel and empathetic interactions. Almost immediately the concept for CraterDAO emerged as the two had both constantly thought about potential solutions for these types of failures within the cryptocurrency economy. Brainstorming between the two ultimately got whittled down into what the project currently presents as — a DAO whose community is comprised of members who sufficiently represent the entire crypto-world, and whose purpose is to leverage a variety of tools and resources in the hopes of preventing any future widespread losses throughout the space. And so, CraterDAO was born — borne of strife and pain more specifically. External to this project, SJ holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology with a minor in Criminal Justice and two concentrations — marketing and IT. He went to a state university local to where he is from — a state on the East Coast, graduating with a 3.2 (unweighted) in a matter of 4.5 years; he spent his first semester with the delusion that he would enjoy being an Athletic Trainer. In reference to employment and work, SJ has held a full-time position — in a vast spread of fields — from the time he was sixteen, through today. He has experience in retail, food service, customer service, sales, supervision, management, marketing, copy writing, clerical administration, human resources, and public relations. Although he has no professional experience, he has had a lifelong love for technology, software & hardware, coding, infrastructure, and primarily security. The intersection of his interest in the tech realm and his love for interpersonal communication is what ultimately led him to the blockchain industry. Within this space simp1ejackk has worked in official positions with a moderately-long list of different projects, having been involved in some capacity since 2016. This crypto-relative experience includes working as Community Ambassador for Algorand, Testnet & Mainnet Curator and Delegator for The Graph, as Community Advocate for MantraDAO and Mina, and several others. All of these positions served him well not only as a venue for learning new things, but also helped to grow his interest in community, relationships, and interactions. simp1ejackk is currently 32 years old, has no children or significant other, lives in the USA, ultimately hopes to spend time traveling in the future, identifies as a Humanist, loves animals, and is excitedly working hard to ensure that CraterDAO can help protect this community to its utmost ability. He has staked his claim to being more of the behind-the-scenes person, although not in a technical/development way; more in a community, content, and resolution of problems type of way. He is very similar to SJ in the fact that he is geared more towards community leadership and interpersonal endeavors. He not only has a Bachelor’s degree in communication, he also has become a certified therapist — also his IRL career for the time being. The attribute that he most has in common with his two cohorts though, is his ability to remain calm under pressure and avoid being upset, outwardly aggressive, or stressed-riddled. The entire trio here have found companionship in being similarly laid-back in most every situation. Although they are all proud of this fact, each are aware that this trait has the potential for causing problems for them.MewwToo is in his late twenties and enjoys maintaining a social life when he can, but he honestly enjoys learning new things and building cool stuff more the majority of the time. He is from the east coast of the US, though not in the same state as SJ. He does not have a family at the moment but is in a committed relationship with his girlfriend of 3 years now. Meww is very personable and eager to help, though also tends to come off as shy at first sight. In the same way as the other two, he is always available via one of the project’s social resources. He enjoys developing with a variety of technology, mountain biking & other adventure sports, and creating things with his hands. His blockchain career began back when it was still possible to mine bitcoin with only a CPU, subsequently moved to mining Litecoin (he still owns one of the fresh LTC he mined from those days), and eventually built his own fork of the original BTC chain. Soon after that period, pentaghast was taken down an alternate path in his life, gaining some real-world experience and learning new things. This walk lasted all the way to 2021, when he decided to wade back into the blockchain waters — initially side-by-side with trading Forex. He then went all out and decided to mine through the gambit of mine-able altcoins.While mining and experimenting, he became drawn into the possibilities crypto has throughout the financial world, and ha enjoys experimenting within the DeFi Dapp space while investing in & supporting several projects along the way. He states that “if crypto isn’t the future of finance, i think it will be a large part of it”. Outside of the space, pentaghast is an Australian native. He is married and enjoys spending time with his wife and working with his hands. In fact — on top of helping to get CraterDAO created, he is renovating the bulk of his family home with only the help of his wife. His most remembered funny moment is the time when he was driving past his local Cricket grounds, out of the blue walks Shane Warn — famous Aussie Cricketer, and he came scarily close to running him over; in another life pentaghast is public enemy number one in Australia for killing their native Cricketer (luckily we have him in this timeline instead). As aforementioned, P is the one founder with notable development skills. Because of this, he will be serving the project — along with Founder — as the Head of Development.
