# Obol Network ANNOUNCEMENT

[Obol Network](https://obol.tech/) - ecosystem for ETH 2.0 staking. The aim of Obol is to scale consensus by providing permissionless access to Distributed Validators.

Recently Obol [raised](https://blog.obol.tech/announcing-our-series-a/) **$12.5M** Series A for its infrastructure improvement. The fundraising is co-led by Pantera Capital and Archetype with participation from Coinbase Ventures, Nascent, BlockTower, Placeholder, Ethereal Ventures, Spartan, and IEX.

There was unincentivized testnet “AthenaTestnet” last year. Now there is registration for next upcoming testnet “**Bia Testnet”**. The rewards for contribution in this testnet is Technical Ambassadorship POAPs.
