# The Belief Amongst Us By [Cryptpal Singh](https://paragraph.com/@cryptpal) · 2022-11-14 --- Hi! If you are reading this, chances are you are part of the [Orange DAO](https://www.orangedao.xyz/) world. Over the past year I have been extremely lucky to witness what I consider one of the most incredible experiments at the intersection of DAOs, web3, venture, founder community and benevolence. And I have seen some really great ideas shape up and rise through iteration, trials, conversation, and dissent. I have pieced these ideas in my head and created mental models/frameworks around them. These frameworks are in no way complete, but in a decentralized world where (so far) we are welcoming of multiple opinions and ideas; and don’t have formal ways of aligning - they help me put new conversations & ideas in perspective and give me direction personally. Till now, these have lived in my head, and my hope is that through writing they can become more concrete, and I can receive feedback that makes these frameworks and ideas more crystal clear. Along with thoughts related to Orange DAO, this is also a nudge for myself to break past the imposter syndrome & fear, and to start penning my thoughts around DAOs, web3, the next few years in crypto, founders, and unlocking human potential. Kind feedback is genuinely desired and appreciated 🙏🏽** * * * The belief amongst us --------------------- We (🍊 DAO) are clearly an eclectic group, with a lot of strong & diverse opinions. However, there are 3 deep beliefs that seem to underline what brings you and me together¹. These beliefs are - 1. Blockchain will change the world 2. Institutions have failed us 3. Founders are our best shot at change This DAO wants to accelerate the impending shift to a **founder-driven**, **community-owned world enabled by blockchain**. And we get there by doing 2 things - 1. Becoming the force for Founders, & 2. Driving the crypto movement forward **Becoming the force for Founders** Founders understand founders best. Founders need to (1) focus on building, and they need (2) community. We currently serve 2 groups of founders - members, and portCos. For members, we focus on building the best founder community club. For portCos, we build and provide the best services & support that a founder needs to build their company. At some point in the future, the 2 groups of founders will merge and all our members will have the best personal support(community club) & company support(PortCo services). **Driving the crypto movement forward** It is not sufficient to just back founders. (1) **We become a super node in the crypto ecosystem that is the best place for ideas, people, capital, and business to come together.** (2) We cultivate builder culture internally and drink our own koolaid on using web3 technology. (3) We explore opportunities such as influencing policy and building public goods that drive adoption and prevent stifling. * * * I am excited for a world where power doesn’t concentrate over time, founders/builders are well equipped & encouraged to move the world forward, and there is more financial inclusion & equity for all. This DAO is a group of founders that believe blockchain will change the world, and we have everything we need to make that change a reality. **As a famous meme dealer said “We are a bakery.
