# Joining Base, Coinbase’s L2 Network

A New Chapter🔆 IT’ᔑ OᑎᑕᕼᗩIᑎ ᔑᑌᗰᗰEᖇ 🔆 and I’m incredibly excited to share that I’ll be joining Base / Coinbase’s ecosystem team. I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with the talented folks at Base over the past year, and my passion for Base’s mission has grown steadily. MissionLike Base, I believe the global onchain economy is a powerful force for good that increases innovation, creativity, and freedom around the world. Too many people are locked out of the current financial system, and onchain enables better ways to earn, save, and transfer value. BaseBase is a new onchain platform that fosters real world use cases like consumer, commerce, payments, trading, etc., and supports builders of all kinds who create them. Onchain is the next online, and Base represents the best of this movement to bring our entire world onchain. TeamFrom the day I got involved in the Base community, I’ve always hoped I’d get a chance to work alongside Jesse, who has had a huge impact on me. There was also no doubt in my mind that Sam’s world-class ecosystem team was the team I wanted to learn from and build with. Still Day OneI feel fortunate to be able to continue my journey onchain by supporting the incredible partners, builders, creators, community members, etc., in the thriving Base ecosystem. There’s lots of work to do, and the job’s not finished until a million builders and a billion users are onchain. 🫡
