# CyberBox + ReFi: A new vision By [CyberBox](https://paragraph.com/@cyberbox) ยท 2022-05-16 --- > _How our actions affects our environment and our future_ One of the main aspects that stayed with us after the Celo Connect experience was the concept of **ReFi**. [![]({{DOMAIN}}/editor/youtube/play.png)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gSpGF2c-nHs) The idea of [**Regenerative Finance**](https://impactentrepreneur.com/regenerative-finance-is-no-longer-the-future-it-has-arrived/) is to use the money as a way to solve systemic issues and help the regeneration of communities and natural environments. The goal is not only to think of profits as the main objective, but rather as a means to reach our common goals as a community: to heal and create shared value. Since the beggining, Celo has decided to build a Proof of Stake **(PoS)** consensus mechanism, which is environmentally friendler than the Proof of Workone . **Celo is currently a carbon-negative blockchain** thanks to its automatic purchase of offsets through [Project Wren](https://medium.com/celoorg/a-carbon-negative-blockchain-its-here-and-it-s-celo-60228de36490#:~:text=Since%20partnering%20last%20year%2C%20the,CO2%20that%20Celo's%20blockchain%20emits.). It also launched the [**Climate Collective** initiative](https://climatecollective.org/about) last year. > _The Climate Collective is a mission-aligned group of Web3 projects, organizations, advisors, and advocates dedicated to reversing climate change by accelerating ecosystem efforts to bring up to 40% of the_ [_Celo Reserve_](https://celoreserve.org/) _backed in natural assets._ Over the past year, there has been new initiatives and collaborations with some of the most important climate projects in the ReFi movement, like [**Toucan**](https://toucan.earth/), [**Flow Carbon**](https://www.flowcarbon.com/) and [**Moss**](https://moss.earth/), leaders in bringing carbon offsets and natural assets on-chain. With [**CyberBox**](https://cyberbox.art/) we want to join this initiative to align ourselves to the vision and mission of Celo and the **ReFi** movement. We understand that this is a journey that we all are starting together and we want to give our first steps with our **Marketplace**. **We are setting a percentage fee of each transaction to a ReFi fund dedicated to offset carbon credits assets**. We are doing this initiative in collaboration with **Moss Earth**, utilizing the [Moss Earth carbon credit token](https://mco2token.moss.earth/) on the Celo blockchain, the cMCO2, to [offset](https://instant-burn.moss.earth/#/burn) carbon footprint. Last weekend we were part of a **ReFi NFT Hackathon**, organized by **ReFi DAO**. We took part in this to have a chance to know new and different NFT initiatives involved in the ReFi movement and create new collaborations and contributions. We also have in our plans to create **NFT Carbon Certificates**.
