Phase #1: Table Stakes
----------------------

The pioneering team at Sons of Crypto Lab (SoC) have been working tirelessly on their mission to accelerate the development of Web3 and become the embodiment of crypto ideals.

Working closely with their community is at the core of SoC’s philosophy. They’d therefore like to “thank you for your continued support”.

They have achieved a lot over the past few months, having been fully focused on delivering on **Phase #1** of their roadmap.

Let’s take a look at some of the major milestones reached during this phase:

**Mobile \[open-source\] Web3 library**

This is the first of its kind, paving the way for projects looking to build on mobile. Its ultimate purpose is to aid \[mass\] adoption of Web3. It is also:

*   MIT Licensed (Industry standard)

*   Cross-platform (iOS, Android etc.)

* Multi-Chain (ETH, BTC, BSC etc.)

**Web3-Wallet 1.0 (Currently in Beta)**

The wallet pushes the boundaries of modern app design, whilst connecting you directly to _Web3_ and smart contracts (not via centralised Web2 gateways).

_Web3-Wallet_ boasts a whole host of _features_ already, including:

*   Create / import / verify mnemonics

*   Send transactions & NFTs

*   Display transaction history & market data/charts

*   Support for multiple chains

*   Multiple themes

*   Uniswap integration

* CULT.DAO integration (submitting proposals / voting etc.)

*   Improvement proposals voting feature

They continue to add functionality with every iteration and have now produced the 22nd iteration of 1.0 (at time of writing).

As they approach the end of Phase #1 of their roadmap, _SoC_ should feel immensely proud of the progress they’ve made so far. However, they are not stopping there! Enter Phase 2 of their roadmap.

Phase 2: Exceptional

Now that the Web3-Wallet _beta_ is out, let’s take a look at some of the improvements they plan to make going forward. There are three main areas of focus for this phase of development:

**1.** Continuing to **iterate** on and improve the **core Web3-Wallet** experience.

This is part of their ‘vertical’ growth plan. Current infrastructure & feature improvement proposals include:

### Infrastructure

*   [WIP-1001 ETH 2.0 support](https://github.com/sonsofcrypto/web3wallet-improvement-proposals/blob/master/proposals/wip-1001.md)

*   [WIP-1002 Wallet connect support](https://github.com/sonsofcrypto/web3wallet-improvement-proposals/blob/master/proposals/wip-1002.md)

*   [WIP-1003 In app browser](https://github.com/sonsofcrypto/web3wallet-improvement-proposals/blob/master/proposals/wip-1003.md)

### Features

*   [WIP-3001 Group wallets](https://github.com/sonsofcrypto/web3wallet-improvement-proposals/blob/master/proposals/wip-3001.md)

*   [WIP-3002 NFT multi send](https://github.com/sonsofcrypto/web3wallet-improvement-proposals/blob/master/proposals/wip-3002.md)

*   [WIP-3003 Currency screen improvements](https://github.com/sonsofcrypto/web3wallet-improvement-proposals/blob/master/proposals/wip-3003.md)

*   [WIP-3004 Dashboard improvements](https://github.com/sonsofcrypto/web3wallet-improvement-proposals/blob/master/proposals/wip-3004.md)

*   [WIP-3005 Coin factory](https://github.com/sonsofcrypto/web3wallet-improvement-proposals/blob/master/proposals/wip-3005.md)

*   [WIP-3006 Jpegs factory](https://github.com/sonsofcrypto/web3wallet-improvement-proposals/blob/master/proposals/wip-3006.md)

*   [WIP-3007 Generic DAO functionality support](https://github.com/sonsofcrypto/web3wallet-improvement-proposals/blob/master/proposals/wip-3007.md)

**2.** Developing and releasing both **Android & Browser-extension** (mobile & desktop) versions.

This is part of their ‘horizontal’ growth plan. The success of the beta iOS version shows great promise for what we can expect on other platforms.

**3.** Pushing forward with additional **integrations** of **dApps and Chains.**

This is also part of their ‘vertical’ growth plan.

You can't really claim to have native support for _DeFi_ if you don’t support the most popular products. Their proposed integrations are the stars of the show and the highlight of _phase 2_, and so warrant further elaboration.

They cover every popular category of _DeFi_ / Web3. Virtually all of the dApps they plan to integrate are considered _blue-chips_ on _Ethereum_, having earned the complete trust of their respective communities. Further reasons for choosing them include:

* They are the most battle-tested and secure, having survived the crashes and hacks that took place over past year relatively unscathed.

* They’re all _actually_ decentralized DAOs.

* Most, if not all, already have an ecosystem grants program.

* They have a large user base who are likely interested in the mobile versions of the product.

* Users of those products are arguably more likely to understand our mission, values and _degen_ ways. They therefore represent our core target audience.

_SoC_ believe that, ‘by their close association, they might initially garner some of the respect these _dApp_/protocols have rightfully earned, then eventually, through the delivery of exceptional solutions to traditional problems, earn that respect in their own right.’

What sets _SoC_ apart is that they’re looking to achieve _deep_ integration, where they include _all_ the different aspects and functionality of the _dApp_ / protocol / chain. For instance, there are some apps that integrate _Uniswap_ swaps only, yet _Uniswap_ also offers staking and yield farming. Not to mention that virtually all _DAOs_ (_Uniswap_ included) typically have a smart-contract governance system, which don’t yet appear to be supported natively in wallets. We know of no other wallet that offers such comprehensive integrations, and SoC aim to win the hearts and minds of the respective communities in doing so.

They eventually want native support for as many dApps and chains as possible, which is why they will never stop adding new integrations. Nonetheless, they believe this is a great selection to start with.

Current proposed integrations include:

The continuous improvements and developments made by _SoC_, shows dedication to their already strong and loyal community. Their tenacity is both fierce and infectious.

It’s important to note, that all of this is subject to change and proposals are in no particular order in terms of priority. You can comment on proposals on [GitHub](https://github.com/sonsofcrypto/web3wallet-improvement-proposals/tree/master/proposals), as well as vote on them in their _Web3-Wallet_ improvement proposal section, found on the ‘actions dashboard’ or via settings. Ultimately, what they prioritise is left to users discretion. Decentralisation is at the core of what they do!

Growth & Marketing Strategy
---------------------------

Finally, let’s discuss their growth and marketing strategy. As mentioned in our previous article, the marketing game is changing and content driven strategies that nurture strong communities to grow with, seem to be a much more effective approach to take now. _SoC_ have adopted this content marketing strategy and plan to ‘constantly create interesting, educational and entertaining content on at least a bi-weekly basis’.

They also plan to ‘collaborate and cross-promote with all the _dApps_ and chains they integrate, through co-hosted Twitter spaces, podcasts, tweets or articles’, allowing industry leaders and community members alike to participate, learn & grow with them. Not only this, they have plans to produce a new _Web3_ trenches diary every two weeks, ‘where their audience can follow them along on their _Web3_ journey’.

They might not have the budget at this stage to spend on _Google_, _FB_ ads etc. _BUT_ they do have you. (the _‘Gang Gang’_). They also have great connections to some real and relevant heavyweights in the crypto space. They want to foster and grow all of these relationships and ultimately, win the hearts and minds of crypto natives.

At the heart of everything _Sons of Crypto Lab_ do, lies their mantra... _‘By Degens For Degens’_. _Web3-Wallet_ is truly built around its users, and _SoC_’s commitment to this is beautifully refreshing.
