# 《水浒传》108将的英文名

《水浒传》的英译本，主要有**赛珍珠**（Pearl S. Buck）译《All Men Are Brothers》，1933年首版；

**杰克逊**（J·H·Jackson）译《Water Margin》，1937年首版；

**沙博理**（Sidney Shapiro)译《Outlaws of the Marsh》，1980年首版。

前两种都是七十回本，后一种为百回本。

三个版本在百八将绰号的翻译上，各有千秋，翻译界多有研究和讨论。

比如“及时雨”，赛译：The Opportune Rain，杰译：Welcome Rain，沙译：The Timely Rain。

“青面兽”，赛译和沙译都是The Blue-Faced Beast，杰译为Sallow Faced Brute。
