# Everybody has a story **Published by:** [daruler.eth](https://paragraph.com/@daruler/) **Published on:** 2022-08-15 **URL:** https://paragraph.com/@daruler/everybody-has-a-story ## Content I have been thinking about what are the things that make something a story and even if it is presented as a story, what makes it stand out from others. Although there might be several aspects to approach this question, the one that caught my attention was originality and uniqueness. We are sharing somewhat similar lives with many people. If you observe lives of others from a distance, the events are more or less the same. Some of them can be extraordinary in terms of the chances of the events happened, but if you challange the perspective and observe from a microscobic distance, the outcomes will be more various. We, humans are indeed capable of thinking rationally. However, we don’t always make our decisions aligned with the way we think. Our life changing decisions are mostly the ones which touch our emotions. There comes the importance of stupidity. Lack of intelligence and rationality effect on our decisions can result in good, bad or even terminal things. However, even if it cannot be told by ourselves -that the event results in death or an injury that will prevent you sharing your experience- the happening of the story-worth event will be depended on that. And one more thing: Stories must include uniqueness. It doesn’t have to take place in somewhere where nobody has been, it doesn’t have to include events nobody has experienced but it should be so original, that it should strongly present the meaning for the particular place or event for this unique individual. ## Publication Information - [daruler.eth](https://paragraph.com/@daruler/): Publication homepage - [All Posts](https://paragraph.com/@daruler/): More posts from this publication - [RSS Feed](https://api.paragraph.com/blogs/rss/@daruler): Subscribe to updates
