# Dateverse: The Decentralized Registry of Modern Time

*Introducing a minimalistic protocol built around scarce calendar dates.*

Time is the ultimate scarce dimension. It is linear, absolute, and shared by everyone. While we have built systems to own land, names, and art, we have never had a decentralized way to canonize and register modern history's temporal milestones.

**Dateverse is a minimalistic protocol that turns calendar dates into scarce digital assets.**

### **The Core Rules**

The design of the protocol is intentionally focused on simplicity and scarcity:

* **One Date, One Token**: Each calendar date can only exist once. There are no duplicates, and ownership is fully decentralized, sovereign, and transferable.

* **The Genesis Range**: The protocol maps a finite, immutable range of time: **1950-01-01 to 2049-12-31** (36,525 unique days, including leap years). This range is hardcoded and cannot be expanded.

* **No Centralized Management**: Once a date is minted, its ownership belongs entirely to the holder. There are no creator royalties.

### **On-Chain Architecture**

Dateverse is built to endure. The collectibles are fully on-chain:

* **SVG Rendering**: The visual card representing your date is generated dynamically by the smart contract itself. It is not hosted on an external server or IPFS; it lives in the blockchain state.

* **Deployed on Base**: To ensure transaction costs remain low and the registry remains accessible, Dateverse is deployed on Base, Ethereum's developer-friendly L2 network.

### **The Public Mint Pricing Curve**

The public minting schedule uses an immutable pricing curve based on the cumulative number of public mints. As the registry fills, the scarcity increases:

*   **1 – 1,000 public mints**: 0.005 ETH

*   **1,001 – 5,000 public mints**: 0.01 ETH

*   **5,001 – 15,000 public mints**: 0.02 ETH

*   **15,001 – 30,000 public mints**: 0.03 ETH

*   **30,001 – 35,064 public mints**: 0.05 ETH

_(Note: Reserve mints for historical archives are capped and do not advance the public pricing curve)._

### **Curation of Moments**

Which days define your story? Whether it is the release of the Bitcoin Genesis block (`2009-01-03`), the day humanity first stood on the moon (`1969-07-20`), or a deeply personal milestone like a birth or wedding—Dateverse lets you anchor that moment permanently in a global temporal registry.

Our mainnet contract is launching soon on Base.

Prepare your dates.
