# Welcome Project-DAVI **Published by:** [Project-DAVI](https://paragraph.com/@davi/) **Published on:** 2022-09-08 **URL:** https://paragraph.com/@davi/welcome-project-davi ## Content Project-DAVI has been in development for some time being worked on by the DXgov team as the interface for guilds but it has far larger ambitions than just facilitating guilds. We are excited to show you what we have been working hard on and to get your feedback! We can’t cover everything here but we’ll give our best shot at what we think you are most excited for. ![](https://storage.googleapis.com/papyrus_images/10f4e7eebb2e3037f386e4eb46fec240) ## Accessible Autonomy Actions speak louder than words. We at DXdao know well how important on chain autonomy is to real DAOs, not just important but necessary for without it the “DAO” is just discussions and no on chain actions with people pretending to act on the DAO’s decisions. But up until now operating DAOs has been tough, requiring technical knowledge to create proposals and even to understand what the DAO is doing. By providing a modular interface and natural language descriptions of what proposals are doing we attempt to break down that barrier of entry so instead of people with technical knowledge creating proposals it can be people with technical knowledge providing the documentation for a more decentralised group to run the DAO. We implemented this in the action builder as seen in the demo of Project-DAVI. This lets us easily configure new contracts for users to enter simple inputs in human understandable formats and read proposals in those same formats. There is a lot more to go into here with regards to how we govern this feature, spending calls and more but we wouldn’t want to spill all the beans right now. ![Action builder - spending calls](https://storage.googleapis.com/papyrus_images/6d7c18f8b4fe39a7dd6a84d109c514b5) ![Composing a proposal](https://storage.googleapis.com/papyrus_images/4f7879842920fce40a24d8ecf1c00961) ![Tenderly simulation](https://storage.googleapis.com/papyrus_images/26e4c2ef98ebc8ba6d91a558d3845579) ## Global Flexible Interface Governance for the most part requires very similar core interfaces, users need to create proposals, view existing proposals, vote and execute. This changes very little between governance implementations (especially ones built by DXdao). So we made sure to architect DAVI in a way that we have already done much of the hard work on the frontend, speeding up the time to support gov 2.0. ### How we can already use this with Guilds! Speeding up our support for Gov 2.0 is all good but how can we use this today? Well, as soon as DAVI is in private beta we will already have multiple types of guilds supported. There is the traditional snapshot ERC20 guild which SWPR and DXD will operate from, but we also support Soulbound guilds. These function much like DXdao now with non transferable power controlled by the guild, this is perfect for smaller organisations wanting on chain autonomy or even as a multisig replacement. ## Social We are leveraging [orbis.club](http://orbis.club) to provide a decentralised social solution for DAOs. Instead of centralised forum services on another platform the users can discuss alongside governance. Built ontop of ceramic this gives users data portability and ownership without having on chain transactions in a forum. Although not in the demo this should be available in the closed beta testing. We’ll be taking full advantage of having a governance forum in the application and integrating it tightly with the governance process. DAVI will be one of the first apps consuming the orbis-sdk and there is a lot we can do with it, even replicating Snapshot’s polling style governance to provide quick token based temperature checks off chain. ## Revenue Since governance has been built very closely to our values around openess everything is open source and no fee model is built in to avoid us taxing the autonomous organisations using what we build. So instead the product of DXgov is Project-DAVI, we have a few ideas around revenue generation in DAVI that we’ll be exploring as we develop. ## What’s next? With the demo complete we are aiming for an internal beta on goerli network next week. We’ll then be in beta with our first production network deployments of a selection one or more: SWPR guild, DXD guild or DXdao MS REP guilds. We already have a couple of interested parties This is just the start of what’s to come and you’ll be seeing regular updates in a newsletter / changelog format from the DXgov team soon. \ Demo available here: ## Publication Information - [Project-DAVI](https://paragraph.com/@davi/): Publication homepage - [All Posts](https://paragraph.com/@davi/): More posts from this publication - [RSS Feed](https://api.paragraph.com/blogs/rss/@davi): Subscribe to updates ## Optional - [Collect as NFT](https://paragraph.com/@davi/welcome-project-davi): Support the author by collecting this post - [View Collectors](https://paragraph.com/@davi/welcome-project-davi/collectors): See who has collected this post
