Receivables adds up to the total current assets of a balance sheet. These are the amounts that the customers owe to the business. An outstanding Invoice is a good example of a receivable- an amount that a client owes to the business.

A business (firm), ideally wants to receive payment for all outstanding invoices as soon as possible, to increase its working capital (Current Assets - Current Liabilities).

> Days-of-Sales-Outstanding (DSO) measures the performance of a firms sales processes. DSO is calculated as (Average Receivables/Daily Sales)=(Average Receivables/Net Sales)\*365

A firm can also sell this invoice to another firm (a factor) for cash, this is called **Invoice financing**. There are fat books covering Invoice financing and working capital management, but in this blog we are going to take a look at the possibility of tokenizing an Invoice and staking it in return for crypto.
