# National Wrestling Conference

The **National Wrestling Conference** (**NWC**, originally the **National Wrestling Council**[\[1\]](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Wrestling_Conference#cite_note-WO1994-OCT17-1)[\[2\]](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Wrestling_Conference#cite_note-LVW-2)) was a professional wrestling promotion that was founded in [Las Vegas, Nevada](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Las_Vegas,_Nevada), in 1994 by T.C. Martin. With a mix of former [World Wrestling Federation](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_Wrestling_Federation) stars and talent from the [independent circuit](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Independent_circuit):[\[3\]](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Wrestling_Conference#cite_note-TCMS-3)[\[4\]](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Wrestling_Conference#cite_note-PWInsider-4) the promotion showcased a variety of wrestling styles ranging from [lucha libre](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lucha_libre) to [hardcore](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hardcore_wrestling) and [midget wrestling](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Midget_wrestling). It also worked closely with Bill Anderson and [Jesse Hernandez](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jesse_Hernandez) using many students from their [School of Hard Knocks](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Empire_Wrestling_Federation) wrestling school.
