Today, we’re thrilled to announce that zkETH is live on ZKSync Era, and will be expanding across the Elastic Chain soon. zkETH is native ETH LST built for the ZKsync ecosystem. It lets users earn Ethereum staking rewards without leaving ZKSync Era or the rest of the Elastic Chain. Starting today, users can:Mint zkETH natively with ETH on ZKsync EraMint zkETH with ETH on Ethereum mainnetComing soon:Swap for zkETH on MaverickParticipate in zkETH liquidity pools on MaverickMint zkETH on Elastic ChainsWhat is zkETH?zkETH is designed to be the go-to ETH asset for ZKSync, offering the highest staking yield available across DeFi. With ZKSync’s native interoperability, zkETH is positioned to expand its utility across the Elastic Chain, unifying ETH staking for users and builders. This aligns with the goals of the Ignite Program, which seeks to establish ZKSync Era as the primary liquidity hub for Elastic Chains—a vision in which zkETH will play a central role. To realize this potential, we are actively expanding zkETH’s reach through new integrations and partnerships.How to stake for zkETH?Stake UIUsers can mint zkETH through the zkETH UI available here. Begin by picking your starting network (ZKSync Era or Ethereum — wherever your ETH is now), enter how much ETH you want to stake, and follow the quick deposit steps. After that, you’re done and will begin earning staking yield.
