Optimism PBC just airdropped $OP to 267,000 unique addresses. 🪂💸 I’ll be walking you thru How to check if you’re eligible How to bridge ETH to Optimism How to claim your OP airdrop 𓆏Tutorial 𓆏 First, check out this site👇 https://app.optimism.io/airdrop/check If you’re eligible you’ll see some confetti burst out and it’ll look like this. 🎊 Eligibility criteria Used Optimism Repeat OP user Bridging to other L1s Donating on gitcoin DAO voting Multisig signer Once you’ve determined that you’re eligible you’ll need to bridge some ETH to Optimism. Go to https://app.optimism.io/bridge Input how much ETH you’d like to bridge. I’d recommend bridging 0.03 ETH. Make sure it says “⚡️ Warp speed” at the bottom and confirm the transaction. When I bridged it cost $1.91 in transaction fees and took about 2 minutes to get the ETH on optimism. Now that you have some ETH on optimism for gas you can claim. Head back to the bottom of the page on https://app.optimism.io/airdrop/check and hit “Start your claim process” you’ll have to take a short quiz that’ll teach you about Optimism then you’ll be prompted to choose a delegate. I choose GFXlabs but you can change this later. Finally hit claim and delegate and confirm the two transactions. Congrats now you’ve claimed OP! Now what? 🧐 I’d recommend checking out some projects on Optimism! The gas fees are a lot cheaper than ETH so you can experiment with using different apps.
