# KW31: Is Base forcing us into Ads in Beta already?

This week in Farcaster ….. the discussions has been mostly Mini Apps and Ads for me. The ads in the Base app are interesting as it's an onchain targeting mechanism being fully integrated. The Spindl team they acquired is working on the ads feature and powers it with their background of analyzing wallets for ads. Additionally the Feed provider for TBA being Embed they have a feature to include these posts on their APIs and also have label and other AI features that could prove fruitful for Spindl in building out the ad system. Why it matters is because I am asking myself is there someone getting a share? like on Youtube where one gets preroll and can clearly attribute to the video creator. That's harder on the feed.
