Key Concepts Crypto currency is not a currency of a country, it is a currency that receives monetary value from a blockchain. A blockchain is a ledger maintained by computers who run the blockchain software. The people who own the computers that run the blockchain software do not need to know or trust each other because they are incentivized to cooperate by the rewards paid out to them when they update the ledger.
