Lots of goals, reflections, learnings, successes and failures to talk about. 2022 hasn’t been easy on any of us. We need to figure out how to make 2023 better. Most goals set in the new year don’t make it past 14 days. So instead of making big audacious goals, try baby steps. Instead of trying to lose 15kg in a year, aim to do a brisk 15 min walk daily. Instead of aiming for 100k newsletter subscribers, aim to write 1 paragraph daily, on any topic, even a journal helps. Follow your curiosity and interests intently but loosely. Develop a deeper, stronger sense of curiosity innately.Curiosity is an innate muscle we all have to train constantly.Curiosity fuels everything you do. From your passions and interests, to your career and even your overall thoughtfulness. To develop curiosity, allow yourself to be more open minded and absorb knowledge voraciously. To do that, read and write more. The more you know, the more you are exposing yourself and the more you flex those curiosity muscles. It’s a muscle you have to consistently train and yes, it will dystrophy if unused. I know a lot of wiser people will tell you not to compare yourself with others. Comparison with others is a deadly vice that leads to jealousy, pain, mental suffering and sometimes depression. It is unhealthy, obsessive and frankly very tiring to your soul and mind. But I think comparison is actually healthy if done in moderation and with purposeful intent.Comparison might lead to envy, so be wary and have it in moderation.Comparison allows you to know who’s better and set your bar high. How can one improve if we don’t acknowledge that there are better people out there and aim purposefully to do better? Comparison, in moderation, cuts through mediocrity and clarifies. When done rightly, it allows one to have a target to look forward to. A goalpost to set your sights to. How can one grow meaningfully if we don’t know what’s out there? Goals are crucial. We should all take the time to set some for the new year. But remember, not every goal needs to be achieved. Goals change constantly, while the big vision remains largely unchanged. Sometimes, even the act of taking the time and spending the effort to plan your life goals can help clarify tremendously. Don’t be lazy. It might be cliche, but goal planning is a healthy process we should all execute, albeit just for the new year. - Have you made plans for 2023? - #startups #business #startupx #growth #success #socialmedia #goals #entrepreneurship #strategy #eth #btc #crypto #sbf #newyear #hatedperson2022 #ftx # comparison #reflection ## Publication Information - [Durwin](https://paragraph.com/@durwin/): Publication homepage - [All Posts](https://paragraph.com/@durwin/): More posts from this publication - [RSS Feed](https://api.paragraph.com/blogs/rss/@durwin): Subscribe to updates - [Twitter](https://twitter.com/DurwinHo): Follow on Twitter
