MetalCore is an upcoming free-to-play online open-world Mech Game that is both FPS and Third-person Shooter. Taking inspiration from PlanetSide 2 and Battlefield, MC aims to provide an exhilarating experience of the battle between factions on another planet. It will be a PC game and launch in Q4 of 2022.GameplayPlayers will begin as recruits and participate in PVE campaigns as human or humanoid combatants. Being an FPS game, players can explore the world, battle artificially intelligent enemies, and plunder resources using a range of weapons and vehicles: mechs, tanks, and aircraft. Players can enter PVP once they reach a particular level, joining one of the three factions: The Holy Corporation, Gearbreakers, or Metal Punks, and compete for domination. The Battle Zone is where 100 players consisting of 50 members each faction fight, and they incorporate aspects from other well-liked FPS games like Call of Duty Mobile and Halo. Several ways to win: Claiming the most tactical points, eliminating all enemies before the countdown expires, or causing the enemy faction to run out of respawn points.Overall ThoughtsMetalCore's overall gameplay loop is enormous, immersing players into a vast world to participate in a variety of events that vary on a regular basis. But you know what's enjoyable? It's knowing you're in a big open world where you begin on foot and manually enter your vehicles. These allow players to strategize and collaborate with their faction in order to conquer the map. It's an absolute banger in terms of art. You're like in the universe of Red Dead Redemption, Far Cry 6, and Battlefield. Even though the game only lasts around an hour, it does not feel like it would bore players due to its appealing style and images. Studio 639 also stated that they will continue to use Unreal Engine 4 for more engaging overall game features. With their years of proven experience and a doxxed staff consisting of professionals having worked on Disney, Mortal Kombat, and Gears of War, it demonstrates how wonderful this game can be if it becomes a full PC game. There are undoubtedly issues, such as uneven NFT stats and poor monetization that need to be corrected to prevent a pay-to-win scenario. If they can resolve these issues and optimize everything, this game could rank among the best of its kind which is why I hope they can achieve it.
