# Introducing the Devcon 8 Creator Fellowship

*Ten creators. One month of storytelling. A new way to experience Devcon 8.*

The Devcon 8 Creator Fellowship is a program for storytellers, educators, filmmakers, designers, writers, podcasters, and creators who can help expand Devcon's message beyond the event itself. 

Our goal is simple: **reach new audiences, inspire curiosity, and encourage more people to become part of the Devcon experience.** We’re looking for people who can tell stories, communicate complex ideas in accessible ways, and show what makes Devcon special through their own creative lens.

*   Ten creators will be selected as Devcon 8 Creator Fellows, with applicants informed of their selection by **September 23**.
    
*   Fellows who complete the program receive **one free Devcon ticket**, exclusive swag, a private dinner invite, recognition on Devcon socials, and access to a private creator channel.
    
*   Fellows complete storytelling missions from **September 28** to **November 2**, in any format they prefer to work in. 
    

### How the Devcon 8 Creator Fellowship works 

From **September 28 through November 2**, Fellows will complete a series of storytelling surrounding Devcon.

Each mission comes with an objective, along with optional references and resources, plus a few common misconceptions to avoid.

Creators take it from there, telling the Devcon story in your own voice. Any of the following formats work:

*   Short video
    
*   Thread on X or Threads 
    
*   Article or blog post 
    
*   Podcast or audio 
    
*   Carousel or design
    

Missions will be shared directly with Fellows once the program begins, and they will be released in batches so you can plan production around your own schedule.

### How to apply 

Applications are open until September 20. You will be asked to submit:

1.  Your social media profile(s)
    
2.  Three of your best pieces of work
    
3.  A short introduction about yourself
    
4.  A **60-second video** answering one prompt: _"In 60 seconds, tell us a story that would make someone curious about Devcon."_
    

Do not worry about production quality for your application video. We are looking for creativity, storytelling, authenticity, and the ability to communicate an idea clearly.

Selected creators will be notified by September 23.
