# Vegetable

蔬菜，是指可以用来做菜、烹饪成为食品的，除了谷物以外的其他植物（多属于草本）生活中所指的的蔬菜，常和“水果”分开讨论。不过也常和水果合称为“蔬果”。另外，和“野菜”的不同之处，在于蔬菜经过人类长时间的育种，提高了口感（原本的野生种已有明显差异），被人类食用的频率也高得多；而野菜则多半未经过人类驯化，几乎均为野生种，人类也较不经常食用。
