However, in reflecting on my journey, I’ve come to recognize that there are natural limitations to how much one person can achieve in certain contexts. Over the past two years, I have had the privilege of contributing to Yooldo in various capacities—wearing many hats as a developer, product manager, business developer, and more. Each role has offered unique challenges and opportunities, allowing me to grow both professionally and personally.The Role of Business Development: From Consensys to Key InvestmentsOne of the most impactful aspects of my journey has been my involvement in business development, particularly in securing strategic partnerships and investments. This journey began two years ago when I first connected with the Consensys (Infura) team. My initial goal was to secure API access to the Base network, a critical step that was made possible thanks to the support of Alexander Greinacher and Alex Lipton. This initial connection laid the groundwork for what would become a series of meaningful collaborations with Consensys. As I continued to build relationships within the Consensys ecosystem, I had the honor of joining the Consensys Scale program. This program was instrumental in integrating essential products like the Metamask SDK into our projects and forging partnerships with Consensys-related initiatives such as HyperPlay. I am immensely grateful for the support of Kathrine Kaur, Clemens Wan, Christopher Kocurek, Florian de Miramon, Ricardo Lopez, Jacob C, MinChi Park, Kim Wilke, and many others who played key roles in these collaborations. Was it luck? Perhaps. But I also know that it took relentless effort and a commitment to making these opportunities a reality. Today, I am thrilled to see Yooldo secure a significant investment from Consensys through their Linea Ecosystem Investment Alliance. This investment not only validates the hard work we’ve put into building Yooldo but also solidifies our mission to revolutionize the web3 gaming space.Leading the Way in Development and InnovationWhile business development has been a significant part of my role, my contributions in development have been equally important. As a blockchain developer, I led the design and implementation of key technologies that underpin our platform. For instance, I played a crucial role in developing the ERC721XX standard and facilitating simultaneous minting on both Ethereum and Immutable networks. These technical advancements have positioned Yooldo as a leader in the blockchain gaming space. In addition to my development work, I also managed projects like the AptoPlay and KUP initiatives, which earned top honors at prestigious hackathons. These experiences taught me the importance of balancing technical excellence with strategic vision, ensuring that our products not only function seamlessly but also align with our broader business goals.The Power of Teamwork: Collaboration Across DomainsNone of these achievements would have been possible without the incredible teamwork at Yooldo. Our development squad, led by talented individuals like Sungjoo Kim, Jin Baek Hong, Yongjin Jang, and Eugene Minwhoan, has been the driving force behind our technical innovations. Meanwhile, our design team, including Hana Kim and Jiyun Kim, has ensured that our products are not only functional but also visually appealing and user-friendly. The marketing team, led by Jongwon Choi and Omaima Naji, has been instrumental in spreading the word about our projects and securing the attention of key stakeholders.The Road Ahead: Continuing the JourneyAs I look ahead, I am filled with excitement for what the future holds. Securing the investment from Consensys is just the beginning. With their support, we are more committed than ever to pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in the world of web3 gaming. Our mission is to deliver top-tier gaming experiences that captivate and engage users across the globe, and I am confident that, with our talented team and strong partnerships, we will achieve this and more. Onward and upward! 🚀Portfolio Highlights: A Comprehensive OverviewCatzeLabs: Pioneering Innovation in Blockchin DevelopmentCyberGalz As a key blockchain developer for CyberGalz, I spearheaded several innovative initiatives that significantly advanced the project’s capabilities. One of my notable contributions was the design of the ERC721XX standard, which played a critical role in optimizing the functionality of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) within our ecosystem. This standard was instrumental in facilitating simultaneous minting on both Ethereum (ETH) and Immutable (IMX), showcasing our ability to operate across multiple blockchain platforms seamlessly. Beyond development, I also provided essential technical support in our business development efforts, particularly in our collaborations with Immutable. This involved bridging the gap between technical implementation and business strategy, ensuring that our technical innovations were aligned with our broader business objectives. AptoPlay (Aptos Seoul Hackathon 1st Place) In the AptoPlay project, which won first place at the Aptos Seoul Hackathon, I took on the role of project manager. My responsibilities included defining the Product-Market Fit (PMF), which is critical in aligning the product with market needs. I also managed the team's resources, ensuring that each member's skills were effectively utilized. Additionally, I handled the pitching and networking aspects of the project, which were crucial for gaining visibility and securing the top spot in the competition. KUP (Klaytn Hackathon 1st Place) At the Klaytn Hackathon, where our team clinched first place, I served as a blockchain developer. My primary role was the deployment of smart contracts, a task that required precision and a deep understanding of blockchain technology. I also worked closely with the front-end team to ensure that our smart contracts were seamlessly integrated with the user interface, providing a smooth and secure user experience. Replica (Coinbase Hackathon 1st Place - XDC Track) In the Replica project, I was again in the role of a blockchain developer. My responsibilities included the deployment of smart contracts and close collaboration with both front-end and back-end teams. This project further honed my skills in full-stack blockchain development, as I was involved in ensuring that the smart contracts were not only secure and efficient but also well-integrated with the entire system architecture.Yooldo: Leading Development with Strategic VisionAs the Development Lead for Yooldo, my experience with CyberGalz heavily influenced my approach, driving me to ensure the project’s success through various strategic roles. Product Manager In my capacity as a product manager, I took on the challenge of developing the structure for a web3 gaming platform. This involved not only creating the game system architecture but also ensuring that the platform was scalable and capable of supporting future growth. My work in this role laid the groundwork for a robust gaming ecosystem that could attract and retain a global user base. Blockchain Developer My role as a blockchain developer at Yooldo was equally critical. I successfully deployed multiple contracts that were capable of handling over 2.5 million transactions, demonstrating my ability to develop systems that are both scalable and resilient. Additionally, I gained extensive experience operating on a variety of networks, including Ethereum, Linea, Immutable, Manta, Oasys, and BNB, which broadened my understanding of the diverse blockchain landscape. Business Development Manager Although my primary expertise lies in development, I also played a significant role in business development. I was one of the few team members capable of conducting technical business meetings with various partners, allowing me to contribute to the strategic expansion of Yooldo. Key achievements in this role included:Initiating contact with Oasys Games' core team, which led to fruitful partnerships.Securing the ConsenSys Scale Program for Korea, making Yooldo the second-ever gaming project worldwide to receive this support.Participating in the YouGov survey program through ConsenSys, which provided valuable market insights.Bringing in and managing several grants from Manta, Aura, and Oasys, which fueled the project’s growth.Managing and securing several investment deals, including a significant investment from ConsenSys through their Linea Ecosystem Investment Alliance, ensuring that Yooldo had the financial resources needed to continue its development and expand its impact in the web3 gaming space.Open Source Contributions: Sharing Knowledge and Building CommunityKorean Translation I’ve contributed to the open-source community by providing Korean translations for projects like Hyperplay and Voyager. These efforts have helped make these platforms more accessible to Korean-speaking users, thereby broadening their reach and impact. Solidity Development My contributions to Solidity development include work on platforms like Oasys and Mint Club. By sharing my expertise in this programming language, I’ve been able to contribute to the development of secure and efficient smart contracts, further advancing the blockchain community.Auditor: Ensuring Security and Integrity in Blockchain ProjectsIn addition to my development and management roles, I have also contributed to various stealth projects as an auditor. My focus in these projects has been on ensuring the security and integrity of blockchain implementations, a critical aspect of building trust in decentralized systems. My auditing efforts have helped identify potential vulnerabilities and ensure that the projects I’ve worked on meet the highest standards of security.ConclusionMy portfolio highlights the breadth and depth of my contributions across multiple domains, from blockchain development and project management to business development and open-source contributions.
