Marty&Leo 20+ years and 6 films — that's how long Martin Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprio have been collaborating. Their joint works were nominated for an Oscar 31 times, winning 9 statuettes. It was Leo who became a kind of "Robert De Niro in the 21st century" for the director. And, by the way, it was De Niro who drew Scorsese's attention to the young actor, with whom he played in "This Boy's Life" in 1993. Together they created the historical epics "Gangs of New York" and "Killers of the Flower Moon", the crime drama "The Departed", the biopic "The Aviator", the black comedy "The Wolf of Wall Street" and the psychological thriller "Shutter Island". - - - The latter can be viewed again on January 4 in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Irkutsk, Kazan, Krasnoyarsk, Novosibirsk and Rostov-on-Don as part of the “Inokino Highlights 2024” program.
