# testing new resources

testing new resources is a very interesting job. I started here in December 2012 as a system developer and developer advocate. today i am the UX manager I work closely with the design team. I’m also the point of contact for the local IGDA community. One of my most important roles is building distributed content: test content and communication with content generation tools like iRobot. As a member of the local game industry, I think we are still making a lot of decisions from “the top down.” Lots of meetings and printouts. I hope to do something to change this. How long have you been working in the IT industry? I started my career working as a network engineer, then as a network engineer for a company that supported microcontrollers, then from 2004 to 2010 I worked for a company that created machine learning systems. Do you like working in IT? What are some of the happiest/worst parts about your job? As an engineer, you really are in the zone. This is an amazing industry and an important and important job.
