I had always loved horses and adventure, so when my friends suggested a horseback riding trip through the countryside, I was all for it. We set off early one morning on our trusty steeds - or so we thought.

As we were riding along, one of my friend’s horses suddenly stopped in its tracks and refused to move. I tried coaxing it forward with gentle words and nudges from my heels, but nothing seemed to work.

"What's going on?" I asked as we gathered around the stubborn animal.

"I don't know," she replied. "This horse has never acted like this before."

We looked around for any signs of danger or discomfort but found none. That's when someone noticed something odd about the way the sunlight was hitting us.

"Hey guys," another friend said pointing at their own shadow cast by sun rays behind them."The shadows are moving!"

It turned out that every time this particular horse saw its shadow moving along with it, she would freeze up in terror!

After much deliberation and investigation, we discovered that indeed there was no danger whatsoever except for this silly fear of a harmless phenomenon! 

We decided to try holding up blankets behind her so she wouldn't be able to see her own shadow anymore while walking forward. It worked! The rest of our ride went smoothly enough after that incident - but needless to say; there were plenty more laughs shared among us about how even animals can have silly fears!
