Steen here (again) with issue #10!!! Apologies for barraging your inbox twice in a week? The most common complaint I hear about tipping is that it's cumbersome to incorporate into a weekly routine. Whether you check your Windows PC on Sunday night right before the reset and can't find enjoyable media, or simply forget, as I've admittedly done, tips are left on the table. Rest assured, we're building experiences that give you new ways to use your allowance, make tipping easier, and surface enjoyable media. In the meantime, I'll publish this newsletter on Thursdays so that you can collect/tip what I share in the 'Enjoymints' section before those Sunday Scaries kick in. Tldr: let's look at behaviors, not roles. Creators make for ideal curators, and we can incentivize curatorial behaviors across a spectrum of investment tiers. Creation incentives/reputation + curation incentives/reputation = creative economy flywheel. For @enjoytech.eth, we're forming thinking about three general personas: -Creators -Curators -Speculators Trouble is, these roles are not mutually exclusive. Perhaps then, it's not about defining personas from the perspective of roles, but actions: -Creating -Curating -Speculating When you frame the audience through action, it's much easier to create a reputation system tied to behaviors. Now, someone who identifies as an Artist or Collector can build reputation through creating and curating. Problems w/ curation: -Too few ways to do so -Poorly leveraged/surfaced via reputation systems -Poorly incentivized (big) The question shouldn't be which would you rather; there should be a variety of ways to curate with a variety of orders of financial magnitude.
