🗳 Term 5 Proposals
-------------------

Proposals are the means by which changes are made to the status quo. There are two types of proposals:

1. **Social Proposals**: offchain proposals that ask for the agreement of the DAO on a social consideration that cannot be enforced onchain.

2. **Executable Proposals:** onchain proposals that execute code related to the ENS Protocol and ENS DAO smart contracts, as voted on by the DAO.

### Upcoming Proposals

A list of upcoming proposals will be displayed here. There are currently no proposals. For a list of past proposals, check out [Snapshot](https://snapshot.org/#/ens.eth) (offchain) and [Tally](https://www.tally.xyz/gov/ens/proposals) (onchain).

### Project Highlights

#### 1\. [EVM Actions](https://ethglobal.com/showcase/evm-actions-2gdki) by Limone.eth

*   **Overview:**

    * EVM Actions is a standard designed to facilitate web3 interactions within any web2 website, such as social networks or chat apps, without requiring users to leave the website.

    * It is wallet-agnostic, allowing transactions and signatures from any wallet.

    * The standard eases development and enhances web3 accessibility.

    * EVM Actions consists of APIs that return actions, such as signing messages or transactions, directly to users. These APIs are hosted at publicly accessible URLs, making them accessible for interaction by any client.

    * Each EVM action link can be stored as a text record in an ENS subdomain, to improve URL readability.

*   **Four Action Types:**

    1. **Transaction:** Execute transactions (e.g., transfer ETH, mint NFTs).

    2. **Signatures:** Sign transactions via an EOA (e.g., Safe transactions).

    3. **Links:** Redirect to external websites.

    4. **1-Click Login:** Quick login to external apps using EOA.

### Update on P256 Precompile Support in the EVM

[@estmcmxci](https://discuss.ens.domains/u/estmcmxci) provided an update on the P256 RFP Precompile Support in the EVM. The inclusion of EIP-7212 in L1 is currently uncertain. To support ENSv2 DNSSEC for 2LDs, the P256 precompile is essential. ENS Labs should guide Ulerdogan’s team on testing, and Public Goods Stewards should discuss including P256 in the next EVM hard fork. estmcmxci.eth will review this issue in detail next week and propose solutions.

Further details can be found in the [Public Goods RFP Proposal](https://discuss.ens.domains/t/2024-2h-budget-ens-ecosystem-working-group/19463).
