# Crypto Valleys - Idle Farming Game

Crypto Valleys is a new casual idle-farming game set to be released on Blast Mainnet. It’s something that seems relaxing and should not take up too much of your time daily. That being said, let’s take a deeper look into it.

**What is Crypto Valleys?**

On their introduction, they introduce themselves as a GameFi project that blends DeFi and Gacha elements into their product. Based on what I’ve seen so far, the Gacha is apparent but not the DeFi yet.

Basically what you do is that you buy **Seed Packs** from the **Vendor** and then head over to the **Farmer** to plant your seeds. There is much more planned in the works _(with Adventurers, Quests and Cooking all being in the pipeline)_ but for now we only have the Farming part available.

It is good that way as you get to learnt the basic mechanics of the game while not being overwhelmed by too much information.

**Why should I play then?**

The game is currently in their demo phase and everything so far is taking place on the Blast Testnet, which means, there is no barrier to entry at all. You can try the game out by simply going onto their website [here](https://demo.cryptovalleys.io/). With Metamask on your browser, the site will then automatically add in the network details, it’s really that easy.

As I look through their [documentation](https://cryptovalleys.gitbook.io/docs/getting-started/introduction), I found a really good reason to try this game since there is no costs involved now. The game will have a $YIELD token as the currency for everything involved within the game and the team has set aside **2,000,000 $YIELD tokens TO BE AIRDROPPED TO PARTNERS AND PARTICIPANTS. Participants.** That’s me and you if we join the ecosystem early, which is like right now. So basically for minimal input and a little bit more effort in grinding 15 minutes a day, you could get airdropped tokens _(not sure of how allocation will be like)_.

**How easy is it to get started now?**

Very easy. Get over to the site [here](https://demo.cryptovalleys.io/house), then click on **Quests**, input an invite code _(I will be putting 5 codes below)_ and get yourself rolling! If you need Testnet ETH for gas, head over [here](https://faucet.quicknode.com/blast/sepolia) and connect your Metamask and get 0.01 ETH _(You can get more every day)_.

**What can you do now?**

For now, simply farming. Click on **Faucet** to get yourself some **$YIELD** to buy seeds. **Seed Packs** can be found at the **Market** and you can get yourself 9 seeds at one go. With seeds in hand, head over to the **Farm** (pic above) and click on the **Farmer** to start planting. Each different seed will have their own growth time so you may want to plant those with similar growth timing together. Each time you harvest your crops, you gain **$YIELD** and **Produce**. You can use the **$YIELD** to buy more seeds while you will keep your **Produce** for future use.

So basically, you spend 3 minutes buying seeds and planting them, go live your life for between 3 to 6 hours, come back, repeat the process, go to the faucet to claim more gas, gain **$YIELD** and **Produce**, wait for airdrop. It’s really that easy to get started to position yourself into a situation where you get airdropped tokens for now.
